The one another vanguards(3)
Introduction
This is the final study in a long series on the one another texts. What we have sought to underline over the last many months is that in the church there is a big need and a big place for unity, considerateness, companionship and brotherly fraternity. There are factors, however, that undermine and destroy the promotion of this such as hatred, slander, devouring one another etc. We therefore need to work hard at restoring this idea and we do this through practices such as confession, forgiveness, and the place of admonishing one another among other things.
Once our relationships are restored, our duty is to persevere in the possession of virtues that express the idea inherent in the one anothering, virtues such as love, unity, submission, accepting one another, and the practice of Hospitality.
Furthermore, we have seen that these virtues require to be upheld and protected and this we can't do on our own, we need the help of God, and so we must pray for one another. We need the support of each other and so we must have fellowship with one other.
In this study, we will consider the last (but not the least) vanguard to the one another idea.
And it is the need for us to encourage one other. We will study this topic in the context of Hebrews 3:13.
